Overseas Power Plant EPC Turnkey Contracting

Since 2003, CHEC has successively undertaken 11 overseas power plant projects under EPC turnkey contracts, including self-invested and self-constructed projects such as the Batam Tanjung Kasam Project, Bali Celukan Bawang Project, Vietnam Duyen Hai Phase II Power Project and Vietnam Dak Lak Wind Farm Projec with a total installed capacity of 2,861.6 MW.

1、The Indonesia Indorama 2×30MW Coal-Fired Power Plant Project

Project located in Purwakarta Province of Java Island and owned by PT Indorama Synthetics Tbk, serves as the captive power plant for Indorama Textile Factory, with its two units successfully completing reliability runs and being commissioned for commercial operation in January and April 2007 respectively. As the first overseas EPC turnkey project undertaken by CHEC, it accumulated valuable international experience and established a solid foundation for the successful implementation of subsequent overseas projects.

 

2、The Lafarge Indonesia 2×16.5MW Coal-Fired Power Plant Project

Project located in Banda Aceh Province at the northwesternmost tip of Indonesia and owned by PT Lafarge Cement Indonesia, commenced construction on September 18, 2006 and was handed over to the owner on January 11, 2010, achieving a net profit of RMB 17 million under the EPC contract, while cultivating a group of outstanding project management professionals through project execution and laying a solid foundation for further market expansion in Southeast Asia.

 

3、The Indonesia Asahan 2×90MW Stage I Hydropower Project

Project located on the upper reaches of Asahan River in North Sumatra Province, was constructed in 2006, commenced in August 2010 , which was acclaimed by then Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao as "a landmark project in Southeast Asia and a business card for Chinese engineering enterprises going global", thereby enhancing the brand reputation of CHD in international markets.

 

4、The Cambodia Lower Stung Russei Chrum 338MW Hydropower Project

Project located on the downstream section of the Stung Russei Chrum River in Cambodia, commenced construction in 2009 and achieved commercial operation in 2013.  this project was the largest-capacity hydropower plant upon commissioning in Cambodia.

 

5、The Cambodia Sihanoukville 2×60MW Coal-Fired Power Plant Project

Project, located north of Sokimex Oil Terminal in Cambodia, commenced construction in 2011 and was commissioned in November 2013. As Cambodia's first thermal power project, it serves as a showcase and demonstration project for CHD in Cambodia.

 

6、The Indonesia Mamuju 2×25MW Coal-Fired Power Plant Project

Project located in Mamuju City, West Sulawesi Province, with a net installed capacity of 2×25MW, was developed by PT REKIND DAYA MAMUJU; the construction period commenced on May 15, 2015, and the TOC (Take-Over Certificate) agreement was signed on September 27, 2018. The project was awarded the "2017 Safety Production Advanced Unit" title by the CHD.

 

7、The Indonesia Sisira 2×2.3MW Hydropower Project

Project located on the Sisira River in North Sumatra Province, commenced construction in June 2016 and achieved substantial completion of main civil works by April 2019.
