In the field of overseas power investment, CHEC prefers greenfield projects that can bring domestic equipment, funds and technologies abroad. It focuses on developing Southeast Asian power markets represented by Indonesia and Vietnam, steadily advances the Central and Eastern European market, and actively explores power markets in South Asia, South America and Africa. It has successively invested, constructed and operated the Batam Tanjung Kasam Project, Bali Celukan Bawang Project, Vietnam Duyen Hai Phase II Power Project and Vietnam Dak Lak Wind Farm Project, with a total installed capacity of 2.076GW.

Duyen Hai Phase II 2×660MW Coal-fired Power Plant, Vietnam

This project is the largest coal-fired power plant project invested and constructed by CHD in Vietnam. Since completion, it has been of great significance to alleviate the power supply tension in Tra Vinh Province and even Vietnam. It will provide safe, reliable and clean energy guarantees for the development of Vietnam's power market. It is another representative masterpiece of the implementation of the "Belt and Road" development strategy in the Southeast Asian market and won the National Quality Engineering Award (Overseas Project) for 2022-2023.
